Condemnation and Denouncement of Genocide

(The statement was posted in 2023 through my old platform, and updated in May 2024)

I denounce the actions taken by the Israeli government in Gaza beginning in late October 2023 (and the whole era before and now with Palestinians, as well as with other citizens and neighboring countries) by characterizing them as genocide.

These actions qualify as genocide because they create conditions calculated to destroy a particular human group, in this case, the Palestinians of Gaza, restrictions placed on aid, the targeted killings of civilians when seeking aid, mass murders of journalists and activists to suppress information and incite hatred, etc. Israel’s occupation and apartheid against Palestinians are unlawful.

I also denounce the role of some other nation Governments in enabling this genocide by continuing to supply weapons and diplomatic cover for the Israeli Government; denounce companies/organizations/platforms/individuals in the film industry in particular and the creative sectors in general, whose are receiving investment, participating in investment, collabrate in anyway; with capital links and benefits to the Israeli government, with companies/organizations/platforms involved military-grade technology, in arms trafficking, genocideactivies, facsist, etc.

I do hope we must do all possible that we can do to speak out and raise our voices, to refuse silence and stand against dehumanization; to stand for equality, justice, and freedom; to stand for an end to genocide, apartheid, and repression, fascism, and for the liberation of all people, races, and species who have suffered all oppression and injustice in this world.
